My daughter was 21 months when she didn't wake up one morning. When we got her to the emergency room, they had no idea what was wrong with her. The only thing they knew was a low blood sugar (40). The doctors dismissed it and told us they would do more if it happened again. Luckily it didn't, but we are still plagued by unusual events; evere mood swings, poor sleeping and severe energy swings. She is 6 and 1/2 now and my husband wants me to just forget about it, but somewhere in me, I feel there is something wrong. To see my child crying and raging on the floor in the moring for no apparent reason is disturbing. When in these states, she lacks all her senses and says things that make no sense at all. Usually she is very clammy and sweaty, or very cold. We have been to two endo's, and they have offered us nothing. No one has ever tested her for MCAD or any of these other metabolic conditions. Does this sound familiar to anyone. She is an A+ student and an aspiring ballerina. I can't bear to see her and our family go through this. When she has these episodes, it tears our family apart. Can anyone Help?
